Man In The Mirror..

The room was dark, save for the glow of the fire from the old brick fireplace in the north wall. There was dusty antique furniture in the room. Aside from the dust, the room was clean.  In front of the fireplace, there was an old man in a rocking chair, wrapped in a blanket. He was staring at the fire and he seemed lost inside it.
You could see the sparkle in the old man's eyes as he stared at the fire. He was lost in his own world, and seemed to be at peace. On the eastern wall of the room was a big picture mirror that was immaculately clean. The heavy frame of the mirror was a victorian gothic design, and was gold in color. The mirror pictured everything in the room perfectly. It was quite a sight to see. The mirror seemed to shine.
The old man suddenly sat up. He had a fire in his eyes that seemed to come from within.  The old man lifted his arm up, and pointed the at the fire, and pointed at it. As if a man possessed, he shouted "That is it, I am out of here!!". He the wrapped the blanket around himself, and ran towards the mirror. In a matter of second, he ran from the chair to the mirror, and jumped right into it. The mirror made a tinkling sound as he entered it, not unlike electricity. The last thing you could see was the old man, in the mirror, looking out from it at the big empty room, at the fire place....

Age of the Gods

He looked at the ancient stone glyph and his face changed from uncertainty to amazement. The prophecy was true. The Moon and the Stars had indeed aligned perfectly. The gateway to the palace of the stars was opened, and the Gods were coming. The age of mankind was coming to an end, and a new age of the Gods was going to start.

Dimensional Absolution

As I came too, my head was foggy as I opened my eyes and beheld the sight was was before me. I had no idea where I was or how I ended up here. One thing was for certain, getting back home was going to be a challenge, if it was even a possibility....

Majestic Beauty of Night

Looking over the ridge, I gazed down into the valley and saw pyramids jutting out of the glistening sand. The crystal clear night sky, with twinkling stars, offered a stark background to the beautiful sight before me. The stars seemingly aligned perfectly, and the tops of the pyramids glowed with an ancient energy known only to them and the ancient priests whose long forgotten religion spoke of this event...

Mute Testament

The portal stood out, a bright blue light among a ruined landscape, ravaged and destroyed by war, a mute testament to the conflict and death that the former masters of the land had wrought upon themselves. The once mighty city, now a desolate shell and tomb for an untold number of former inhabitants whose skeletons lie trapped within it. At night the ruins gave off a soft radioactive glow that could be seen for miles.
The traveler gazed upon this landscape and sighed heavily. Once again, he stepped through the portal, ready for whatever unknown world awaited him on the other side.

Doorway

He waited at the gate late into the night, for many hours, surrounded by the blackness of the night, lit up in its dazzling starry sky. As dawn approached, he was greeted by the brilliant light that emanated from the gate's entryway. Where the gate opened to he did not know, but still, he went forward, and entered...

Alignment

Looking up into the sky, I watched in horror and amazement as the planet slowly came up into view, and blocked out the sun. The sun, bringer of life and light, was gone. Our glorious ages of light was replaced by a new age of darkness....

Beautifully cold

He gazed up in amazement at the night sky of this cold, frosty, ice covered moon. Tens of thousands of stars greeted his vision, each one like like a tiny point of cold light, far off in the distance, beckoning him.
