He could not believe it. No matter how many times he shuffled the cards, and drew the last card in the reading, it always came out the same. The poor man broke out into a cold sweat, and finally accepted his fate....

Evil Waits..
The blackened, radioactive ruins that littered this once mighty world were now a graveyard. A testament to the arrogance and folly of this world's people. Buried in the ruins though, was an evil that had an eternity to wait and be discovered yet again...

Pale City of Horror
I looked around the cold, dark city, draped in the starry blackness of night, and then I saw its red eyes and pale skin, and I realized in horror that there was no escape from this place...

Dimensional Absolution
As I came too, my head was foggy as I opened my eyes and beheld the sight was was before me. I had no idea where I was or how I ended up here. One thing was for certain, getting back home was going to be a challenge, if it was even a possibility....

Majestic Beauty of Night
Looking over the ridge, I gazed down into the valley and saw pyramids jutting out of the glistening sand. The crystal clear night sky, with twinkling stars, offered a stark background to the beautiful sight before me. The stars seemingly aligned perfectly, and the tops of the pyramids glowed with an ancient energy known only to them and the ancient priests whose long forgotten religion spoke of this event...

Dawn Approaches
The sun broke over the horizon and bathed the blackened, charred ruins of the city in the light of a new day. At night the ruins gave off a soft radioactive glow that could be seen for miles.
The traveler gazed upon this landscape and sighed heavily. Once again, he stepped through the portal, ready for whatever unknown world awaited him on the other side.

Doorway
He waited at the gate late into the night, for many hours, surrounded by the blackness of the night, lit up in its dazzling starry sky. As dawn approached, he was greeted by the brilliant light that emanated from the gate's entryway. Where the gate opened to he did not know, but still, he went forward, and entered...
Alignment
Looking up into the sky, I watched in horror and amazement as the planet slowly came up into view, and blocked out the sun. The sun, bringer of life and light, was gone. Our glorious ages of light was replaced by a new age of darkness....

Beautifully cold
He gazed up in amazement at the night sky of this cold, frosty, ice covered moon. Tens of thousands of stars greeted his vision, each one like like a tiny point of cold light, far off in the distance, beckoning him.
Truth in death
As her hand lightly brushed across the worn gravestone, feeling its surface, she read the worn, mossy surface of its face. She finally realized the truth; she was dead, and had been all this time...
